Chain Chronicle (Old)

Chain Chronicle (Old) is an interesting mixture of genres where RPG and strategy are combined to offer you a game in which you have to form an army of heroes to fight your enemies.

With the goal of defending the mythical land of Yggdra, you have to recruit many different kinds of heroes (warriors, mages, archers, and priests) to help you in this adventure. Each of these heroes has its own abilities that you have to combine if you want to win the game.

Warriors are your first line of defense, as they are the ones that are best suited to withstand enemy charges, while archers and priests are ideal to assist from behind. During combat, you can move all your heroes freely, although you'll have to think about it strategically - if your defenses fail, you'll definitely lose.

As you win battles against your enemies, you can recruit new and better heroes. In total, there are more than 150 allies that you can add to your ranks.

Chain Chronicle (Old) is an excellent combination of RPG and tower defense; it features a fresh and fun gameplay and great graphics as well. Character design stands out and is especially worth mentioning; it was done by some of the best Japanese manga artists.
